JP - you need to get that roo more than one friend or else the poor one hen will be bare backed and exhausted! (seriously)
Thanks for the advice Wisher... We tried to trade him and that didn't work and now my mom and him have become buddies. So now we absolutely have to keep him (her words not mine). So I guess we're looking for two hens. Like I said, he's just a mixed breed guy, very handsome, but he doesn't need any fancy friends.
 
JP - Y'all do what you want, but if you are only going to get two (not six or seven) I would just leave him as the only chicken child or get him another roo. They should get along fine as long as you introduce them slowly and there are no hens to fight over. Another roo would be much easier to find......

They're only 3 weeks old, but I've already got one Jersey giant for sure, and I think I will have a white rock as well.. but, that one isn't sure yet.
