I'm pretty sure he wouldn't like sharing the house with the four cats or the backyard with the dogs. Our side yard (1 acre) is where the coop is going so the chickies don't have to share with any other pets. I think it's much better for all involved that they never meet face to face.

My kitties visit with the chickens. They were really interest back when they were bitesize, now they quickly realized they can't handle 10 angry birds

We just wanted to introduce ourselves to our Alabama neighbors! Carolyn and I are residents of Flat Rock, AL (NE Alabama) and we operate a family owned fowl farm. We breed, hatch, and sell several species of bantam and standard chickens, as well as Standard Bronze heritage turkeys, Blue Swedish ducks, and American Buff geese. Yes, TomTom...I think it would definitely be better for the cats if they were to not meet the chickens but better for the chickens if they don't meet the dogs. I'm pretty sure the chickens could easily kick butt on our lazy cats but the dogs are a completely different story.

As to visiting with the chickens, my cats are indoor only, so they won't be paying any visits. The cats were all adopted while we lived in the city so they are not the slightest bit outdoor savvy. I don't trust them not to get themselves maimed or killed should I let them out. That doesn't stop them from trying though.
