ALABAMA!!

My momma was moved to the MICU after being intubated last night... She's very ill. They're treating her with the strongest antibiotic available, since they also found staph in her lungs. Apparently it's rough on her heart as well. Not sure if she's gonna make it.

Think I'm gonna go chill with my chickens. :/

I hope your mother gets well soon. Thinking of her, you and your family. :hugs:

Just thought I'd throw this out there in case someone in my area in either Limestone or Madison counties sees it and possibly knows something or someone. There have been a few posters up since last weekend near the intersection of Wall Triana and McKee Road saying that someone has found a Great Pyrenese. I know they are often used as LGDs and I'm sure if it's someone's LGD or just a pet, if it's their dog they are desperate to get the dog back.
Thanks for posting. I know I would be devastated if my Great Pyrenees was missing.

Thanks y'all.

So, I wonder. Does everyone keep their roo in the hen house?

Mine has been terrorizing the girls, grabbing their back and trying to jump 'em. Ya know, juvenile roo behavior. The girls aren't ready for it yet and scream bloody murder.

I was wondering if I should make him sleep outside of their coop/run.. but then again, he may become distressed to be away from 'his women'.

I live in Coker,Al 10-12 minutes outside of Tuscaloosa, I need a few more ducks, Muscovey is preference, but any ducs will do, drop me a private message if know of any for sale

Some of my worst childhood memories involved a RIR rooster that my grandfather had! He hated me! I could not even go out to the coop without being flogged. I am not saying that all are like that, just my experience. I have vowed never to have one now. I love my RIR hens though...
