Bought some Buff Orpington Chicks a couple weeks ago, they are close to 3 weeks now and their wings feathers have some dark brown streaks. Hummmm ! Does that sound normal ?

Went home for lunch today and before I left I heard my quails screaming. Went to see what is going on and there was a huge hawk on top of the cage!

Had to go outside and shoo the hawk away. Been having this problem with hawks and owls ever since my sister moved in with me and cut down all the trees in my yard.

And the reason why I can't have anymore free ranging chickens.

Okay enough rambling.

These are my first chicks so IDK if it's true for every BO but my 2's feathers came in so light to start with I thought they were white

They are a very light creamy beige now though at 8 weeks.
