ALABAMA!!

It's looking like I won't be getting that roo and 2 hens. He left it up to his daughter, so I know it probably won't happen now. If it does I'll count myself lucky. The search for a RIR roo is still on.

ETA- I take that back. We're going to pick them up tomorrow. The roo is supposed to be a Dom and one of the now 3 hens is a 'mixed breed', meaning that she's probably either an EE or OE since he used to have both as well as Tetra Tints. I still have to find a RIR roo for my girls, but at least the ones we're getting will have a fighting chance at living. Plus I'll finally have a pretty barred roo.

Been busy so haven't popped in here in a while...glad you like your new girls, Tomtommom! They really are precious girls, and their siblings are making a LOT of friends here at my house too, with their super sweet temperaments. I laughed out loud at your story about your little scrapper!

yes but it depends entirely on the day lol , well i built my own coop out of stuff i had around the house its sort of a lean to setup i would say it has a fully enclosed 6ft run connected to an enclosure , raised about 4inchs off the ground , right now i have 3 rhode island red hens about a week away from laying and 2 rock island roosters and 2 meat chickens ,

Anyone interested in some mottled bantam cochin cockerels? I have wayyy too many. Free for pick up. Also have the little cockerel that Orps did so much work with. He is very petted and friendly. He would have to go to a very special home with someone who wold have lots of time to spend with him.

This is a pic of mom. Don't have one of the cockerels on my iPad.

Here is a video of Mr. Deville. The one I had to return to huntinwidow because he is a roo.
Hate to say it but he got carried around and babied a lot when I had him.

In my defense he was the only one that wanted all that attention.
This is one of the tricks I was trying to teach him. Has getting really good at it.

BTW huntinwidow- the other 2 I got from you are doing well. They have integrated with the flock but they are still not sure about me. Now the Millie Fleur I got from you is being a literal pain in the butt this week. She bite me twice there.
