is it normal for an EE to get such a pronounced wattle and comb? I thought this entire time she had a pea comb but now I'm not sure because these past few weeks her comb and wattle have grown! She is the only EE I have that even has a wattle as of right now.

Watch for eggs in your very near future!

If you feed them treats out of your hand, they will get tame pretty fast. They will like leftover bread, grits, eggs, meat, most veggies and fruits (don't give them raw potato, citrus, or chocolate.) Just don't give them too much or it will get their nutrition off balance. Most hens will stop laying for a while when they experience a drastic change, like moving. Don't worry, the eggs will come.

I'm starting to wonder one if the hens my friend gave me is actually a rir. She has a lot of green in her neck feathers. Shiny green at that, but I know she's a hen. Really, really weird.

I have a few English Orps hatching today $10/each

Blues, Blacks, Splash

Beautiful, calm lovely birds for the yard and lay nice big brown eggs! (well....the hens do!)

Located just South of Birmingham
