I was letting them free range inside of a 8" chain link fence. I think they found a way out under the fence. 100s of acres of woods outside the fence.

I've killed 7 coons so far.

Wow...that's terrible! Hawks are our biggest problem. Well...and my own dogs, but they keep everything else run off.

I only have straight run chicks at the moment. I'm not a hatchery, so I don't offer hens only, unless I just happen to have a lot of them. These aren't hatchery stock. They are descendants from stock imported from the UK. HUGE birds.

Great! I'm interested in 6. I'll drive up but not sure if I can come on Monday or Tuesday. I have medical issues I have to resolve on Monday or Tuesday also. Leaving town on Wed. for a week.

There's a coon loose at my house. It ate one of my chickens and the eggs she was sitting on. I'm so upset! DH will be setting traps tonight!
