do u plan to buy chicks or hatch?I want chicks. Get them ready for next year's laying.
I want some Easter eggers.. olive eggers.. Ameraucanas.. cream legbars. Whatever gives me some different colored eggs (blue, green, olive) and hopefully birds that aren't black (I like to be able to tell my birds apart).
Wonder if I'm too late in the year to try. :/
I would try to wait until spring because by the time your birds went into the coop it would be almost New Years.

right. Just thinking about once you put them in the coop since they won't have ALL their feathers just yetNot concerned about that, it's more finding chicks/hatching eggs at this time of year.
I've had chicks at all times of year. As long as they have a source of heat they're fine.
lol fwb.I don't have a bator, just friends with bators. Haha

Really? I have problems with humidity.. The eggs are usually viable all the way to the end but then they just don't hatch. The only one time I had a good hatching was when it rained on hatch date.Completely dry incubation start to finish works well in our humid climate. One of my favorite hatches was a Christmas Eve hatch. Merry Christmas to me!!
10 for 10 that year.
