I have a question an looks like you could answer, Do we need license to raise quails in alabama, I would like bobwhites though!!
GPN

YOU DON'T NEED A LICENSE TO HAVE QUAIL. IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON SELLING THEM THEN YOU HAVE TO GET A LICENSE. So as long as your not selling them you are fine. If you go to this website and search quail it will give you more info http://www.aces.edu/ Its the Alabama Coop EXT Website

After the 24th of janurary, i will have 6 extra ducklings... they are free to whoever wants them! I'm in montgomery... Pm Me if you'd like any/all of them!

I am in Winfield, NW AL!!! Just moved back down here from an 8 yr live in Chicago. Getting into the chicken thing. We have a pig so that is very different. Also had 2 hens and a roo given to us with claims of them being the best layers, but for the last 9 months havent had the first egg. Want to order from Ideal and am not really sure how to set up my place for the baby chicks! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Our current chicks have very basic stuff but I am going to revamp their home as soon as this current cold snap is over.

Looking forward to talking to all you other AL chicken lovers!!!

Well I've closed in the north side of the chicken coop and gave extra bedding to the goats, I think I'm ready for the cold snap. Hope everyone else is ready too for at least 30 hrs below freezing (it doens't happen here often).
