I have egg customers that think brown eggs are "better for you". Supermarket thinking....geez.

I learned a very important piece of information today. I have to share, so you all will be a little bit wiser!

My chickens lay brown eggs because they are free range and eat alot of bugs, store eggs are from caged and grain fed chickens thats why they are white!!!!!

I am still laughing! And I won't even start on the "pregnant eggs" LMBO

And here all the time I had it all wrong. LOL!!!

But now I want to know about the "pregnant eggs".

I was told that I had to get rid of the roosters or we can't eat the eggs! When I ask why, the answer was "OMG you can't eat pregnant eggs"

Not to be too gross but in the Philippines they do eat half develop duck eggs called Balut. Heard it pretty good but it's not for me.

on a different subject, my silkie just hatched out three chicks: one buff Orphington and two Partridge Rocks! I love baby chicks.... Hopefully next time she goes broody I will have Dorking eggs ready.
