Hey y'all. I am originally from Mobile, and still have family there and all around Baldwin County. I'm thinking of retiring early and moving back to the Fairhope area, but wondering about laws about keeping chickens,. Anyone know if it's allowed in the city? I guess I'll have to look farther out of town if they don't.

I'm in Tempe, AZ now, and almost all the cities in the Phoenix metro area allow chickens. In Tempe we can have up to 5 hens, but no roosters. I have five barred rocks, and can't imagine life without chickens!

I live in Hoover (south of Birmingham). I haven't got chickens yet, but I'm planning on it in March or April after it warms up a little and I have a chance to talk my hubby into building a coop and tractor.

If anyone needs Marans Roosters, I have 3 Black Coppers and 4 Cuckoos free for local pickup in Jacksonville, AL. They are from 4 to 6 months old and are nice Roos, I just have TOO MANY!!!

Free yes I said free roosters I have to many rooster that cant get along together real well.One is a RIR from MM he maybe a year old one is a BR less than a year old and a NHR less than a year old. All need a good home.[ Not for dumpling please] DK

Anyone want a Polish roo ( The other birds took his tailfeathers but they are growing back) and a white rock hen?? The hen just started laying last week. My first and only chickens came from Mcmurray last spring so they are healthy and havent been exposed to other birds.

We live in Huntsville. Three hens are not enough to feed the family. We eat 18 eggs at a time so another hen would really help!
