Hello lovely people I have some extra SERAMA eggs that I will be selling. I have eggs in the incubator and told this person to hold on shipment because they could not get me the eggs in time as the other ones I have...she gave me 13!!! There is barely any room... Ok I just candled them and I'm keeping 3 and giving away 6...the rest were either cracked or worse... so 6 free serama eggs

Good afternoon, Alabama!

So I built coops, set up nice brooders, got food and water set up nicely and had everything prepared to start with our chickens and... disaster.
Our first mail order for day old chicks (my daughter in law wanted to start with silkies, so we had a half n half order) came today and almost half were DOA. Another two have gone since then. Thankfully those that are left are running around just fine, but every silkie chick perished and my daughter in law is crushed.

If anyone knows of any good chicken resources close to Troy, AL, please let me know. I don't mind driving a couple hours for chicks, eggs, swaps, etc. - I just don't know where to drive to.

Additionally, if anyone knows of a reputable place I can order silkie chicks (or I guess even eggs, as I incubate quail just fine), please let me know.

hey mat there is a auction saturday night at 6:00 in millbrook bout 5 miles north.of montgomert there will be all kinds of chicks and eggs for sale. Im taking chicks also. Its the best auction around here hope to meet you there.come early to get you a seat.
