@Mimi13 - I admittedly worry about our ducks as this is their first Winter with us myself. I think any good backyard flock owner is right to be concerned with weather changes!

I guess I’m a bit selfish because cold weather is just a terrible inconvenience. I want to be able to walk out the door in a split second, not have to bundle up with boots, coat, gloves, scarf and toboggan.

How's everyone doing out here in Alabama? Went from 104 degrees one day in mid-October to 30s pretty fast. Keep the flocks warm!

I hang clear shower curtains around the open sides of my chicken coop and doorways and it blocks the wind, and heats up their coop like a green house when the sun shines. we are in Georgia and it has already been 30 degrees a couple of times

That is a great idea, been trying to come up with something to cover the sides of my guineas coop! Thank you!

I buy some of my clear heavy duty ones from Ross store for about 1/2 price, (the heavier ones last a few years), and take them down in the spring ,wash them,and store them for the next year

This weather is killing me. Between the rain and freezing, my now (on Monday) 8 week girls are still in my office. Was hoping to finish today but yet more rain ⛈
