ALABAMA!!

I am going to be a new resident in Prattville, Alabama. Will be living in a neighborhood, but on large grassy lots with fences, and a cow pasture nearby. Can I keep backyard chickens in this city?

We are from Arab. Right now I have 9 week EE's. I am thinking about getting some others also. I might also get a pair of gentle geese.

We are right on the GA/ala border. Right now we have Blue/Black/Splash Orpington, Speckled Sussex and also RIR chicks for sale and Peking ducklings.
Please pm for more information. Thanks and have a blessed day! Nancy

Dollhoney,

I am in Blount County but I sugguest you tour your block and look for chickens, or ask your neighbors or call your local extension office, they could tell you.

Another than that I am not much help, IF I had the space of my own and wanted chickens I would keep them! Momma has her chickens we have been here so long, no one complains now!

I hoped I helped!

Hey Ya May 1 2010, from 7 am until noon weather permitable we will have our farm swap at Susan Moore Park. The Park Committee allows us to sell there for a small donation. We have lots of differnet things for sell most of the time!

Thanks GPN

My hens are 1-2 YO. And they lay very well they lay all winter. But my hens are not for sale, just the chicks. (unless you have something to trade.) My chicks are about 4 weeks. I also have 2 grown roos. Beautiful birds.
