Blairs tail waved around lazily, she pranced around and then stretched. "You going to talk?" she said in her cute friendly voice.

Dirk, Jason, Megan, Jessie, and another dragon and rider pair flew along over the forest. They were traveling, as usual, simply for the joy of exploring their world more than anything else. They were heading towards the caverns and canyons near the south edge of the Rainy Basin, a massive plains area surrounded by a ring of mountains that occupied a very large portion of Alagaesia's central and southern reigons, but they were going for more than one reason. Dirk had heard some rumors that there were very precious and valuable minerals and crystals in that reigon, especially in one cave system called "Lumino Caverns". Dirk wanted to test those rumors and his friend Jessie, along with both of their dragons, had gladly gone with him, due to the adventureous personality that they all shared. The south rim of the Rainy Basin was one of the most dangerous places in Alagaesia during the summer, but anyone who wanted to give the caverns a shot could only do it during that season. During the winter the entire reigon froze over, making it all but impossible to access the caverns and almost as difficult to even survive the journey. Because of this, many brave souls had died or gotten hopelessly lost trying to strike it rich, but a noble few had succeeded. This was enough to convince Dirk and the others that it was possible, so they decided to give it a shot themselves. They had left their home town of Lusankya a few days before and were making good time. They had also recruited one of Dirk's childhood friends, Markus Heckler, and his dragon, Cody, to accompany them on the journey. Markus, or "Markie" as his friends called him, and Cody had gladly accepted and the six of them had left the next morning. They were currently flying over the forested areas to the north of the Rainy Basin's mountain rim.

(They are flying close to where Blair and Cruor are right now. btw, CayugaLover, I was thinking that it might be cool to have a "ThunderFury Encounter" or something here)
