Marcus ducked when he saw the sword coming and just barely avoided it. Well... almost. As it passed him, the hilt of the spinning sword smacked him in the back of his head with enough force to make his head ring a little. The sword continued flying on through the air, embeding itself in the far wall of the throne room. Meanwhile Megan was in the process of jumping out of Cruor's way, but she still would have become a human shishkabob if not for Dirk's lightning reflexes. While Megan dove to the side, Dirk brought the blade of his sword down on top of Cruor's outstretched sword as the later hurtled towards the teenage archeress. The blowshoved the end of Cruor's sword down into the floor where it sunk a good foot deep into the stone bricks and held fast. With the momentum the Shade had, it would take something not far short of a small miracle or near-instantaneous reflexes for Cruor to keep ahold of his sword without ripping his own hand clean off. Meanwhile, Jason, Jessie, and Cody, the trio's dragons, finally came running through the main enterance to the room and immediatey saw The Queen in danger. All three were very intimidating, battle-hardened, and formitibly-sized dragons; Jessie, Megan's dragon, even had to duck her head a bit to fit her 40-foot-tall frame through the 35-foot doorway.
