Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

I thought I'd try Donna! Didnt expect you to say yes for goodness sake! lol.......

Bonnie, can you make another tractor for them to stay in until butcher day? I'd think something
like what you had your meaties in would work really well?

I have the game camera set up tonight, I have noticed strange dog (of some sort) foot prints outside my
kennels for the birds...This should be interesting. If its a neighbors dog, I'll print it out 100 times and wait till
they go to work and post them allover the front of their house...

Maybe they'll get the hint!

Purty babies!! Are these the ones that took a week from Washington to get here??

That's them. She plans to try express mail next go round if we do this next year. There's hope WW even late as your's were.

How you feeling? Like company tomorrow? With a flashlight at the ready?

The cold is going away, but I now have a horrid coldsore as the aftermath

I shouldn't be contagious anymore.

We should be slow tomorrow, so even if Sam decides to go into town we should be able to take a look!!

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I might have to... plus then I'd have another tractor for next year, tho I thought TWO would be enough.

What are the thoughts on putting them in with three other roos that have been by themselves?

Any idea on how big the prints are?

Bonnie....They look like normal dog size. Maybe a medium sized dog.......Out
here there are so many dogs that run around it's hard to say. It could be a yote, but I doubt it.....We should
know in the morning though, if it comes back.

Donna, I did, sad to say the post office scrambled them so bad that they didn't do much. They were fertile, but some reason they developed
a dark mass, then there was a lot of liquid in the tops of them with light below them in the small end. At day 16 you would think there would
be more development. They had stopped sometime along the way.....I'm telling ya, I think someone has it in for me over there at the Annex, but doesnt
your mail come threw there as well to get to you? Or does it come straight out of Anchorage? I need to find someone else to have them sent to and just pick
them up in Anchorage. Tori said just to have them sent to the airport PO general delivery and have them call to pick up, but I have never done that....have you guys?

Hi all, how's everyone?
We're leaving tomorrow to Joe's dads house. He lives in the bush about 30 miles past Skwentna. It's fly, snowmachine, or boat in only.
We won't be having a hawk issue now

.... we have new poultry netting on top of the run.

Deb, I saw your turkey babies on FB, so cute!
And Donna, I'm in love with your lavenders!

Sooo, good luck everyone with your hatches! I hope to check in while I'm gone, there is internet out there.

You can do the general delivery thing or if you would feel better, send them to me and you can pick them up here at the house.

Donna, I liked the slinky quote!! Of course, the one you have now is pretty good too.

Aimee, I like your qoute too. So who's watching the birds while you are gone? Do you have an automatic feeding and watering system? Have a good time!

Bonnie, Donna, Donna, Bonnie....all the same either way eh? Thats ok. I did the same thing to Bonnie the other day! lol......

Carmen, thats a good idea as well! I'm just thinking, that maybe cutting out a middle man or two might help.....

Well to be fair, the PO broke 3 of these also so I had frail hope. That and they took 7 days to get here

I don't understand it. They came from WASHINGTON for Pete's sake! I don't know where mine go through (I expect they route through the annex) but I do know that the eggs I have gotten from California have been the best treated. Somebody between Wash and us is a sadist...

What was the slinky quote? I never saw it!
