Well to be fair, the PO broke 3 of these also so I had frail hope. That and they took 7 days to get here

I don't understand it. They came from WASHINGTON for Pete's sake! I don't know where mine go through (I expect they route through the annex) but I do know that the eggs I have gotten from California have been the best treated. Somebody between Wash and us is a sadist...

What was the slinky quote? I never saw it!

I guess we need find people in other states to order more eggs from to prove a point...

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Gotcha

I have some info:
California - Good
Texas - pretty good
Oregon - Very good
Washington - Lousy x 3
Florida, not half bad considering

Missouri - Don't go there.....

Of course this is not an extensive study...

To clarify: Some parts of CA are extraordinary and gorgeous. Some parts are gang infested. Some parts see four seasons (where I am). Our bugs are small enough to kill with one swoop. Florida bugs need a leash and will steal your shoes.

ETA: We have barking spiders too

Has anyone ever seen the Brahmas at Triple D? I'm thinking of trying to add a few more pullets to the flock before winter and was considering theirs. If they have pullets, that is. I'm also hoping Mike at Cottonwood Creek has some Buff Brahmas from Cackle left.

Indeed! I like Washington to visit but not to order eggs from... Which is crazy 'cause it's closest but it takes the longest and the national soccer team moonlights at the Seattle USPS office...And believe me, Texas wouldn't rate pretty good for anything else... Florida bugs get high on bug killer... I can say this because I have spent some time in these places...
