Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

Well he is clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer to think that was a good idea... Aren't they supposed to get training or something?
Now that's an ox's rear end if I ever saw one.....
I'm sorry Deb - it stinks... The driveway looked very nice too I can see......well, before he got into it.. I hope they can drag him out backwards or he'll wreck it all with that thing. I also think he should pay for it.

I hear ya ....he's.not that type though...its no big deal to him...I should have been more aggressive

The rig is out of our driveway without a glitch.....Hubby isnt mad at me but can't understand why the
operator would not have seen that things were wet and muddy and a few other choice words.

Well according to Welp, their supplier of those breeds will no longer ship to Alaska. No reason given.....

Yep. If they're decent, they'll offer to do it before you even ask. But this is definitely a problem they are responsible for fixing. You can hint by telling them it should be around $X dollars to get it spruced back up, since that's what you just payed!

Not going for any hatching records....... I enjoy hatching and watching the miracle of life unfolding.
I will be getting eggs shipped up so I can add some other breeds (BCM, Penedesencas, Columbian Rocks).

I have also heard there may be some others that I would enjoy keeping, so I am looking into that as well.
the weather here has been very hot for Alaska, it was over 90 yesterday here, that was before noon! So I don't think shipping chicks would be a good idea for me.

I have noticed alot of the breeders, don't want to ship anything to Alaska, it is almost like being a different country.........lol

There are alot of Lower 48 companies that hire people who believe we are a different country.....
I talked to a lady who actually said we only sell/ship to the US.....and when told we were the 49th USA state, she asked as of when? lol

Yeah you should hear some of the things people say to us... I'm gonna write a book someday...

I might have gotten to 72 here yesterday, and that was PLENTY hot enough for me.

Our high was only 59°F. I think on Monday we got up to 70F... it was hot IN the sun, but wasn't long enough to dry everything out.
