I knew he was having a hard time, but I didn't know you made a decision.

He's not going to recover, I have to face that, and harder yet, so does Sam. I spent another night on the cot with him and tho yes, he is drinking, he is now also incontinent. Up til now he was at least letting me know he had either peed or needed to. I hate this more than anything else I ever have to do in my life, but to be worthy of a dog's devotion, love and loyalty, you have to endure whatever needs to be done at the end.

Bonnie,
I've been thinking about you today. I know it's gotta be a rough day.

How's the egg coming?

Rachel,
Sorry not to get back to you yesterday. I spent about 4.5 hours working in the rain on one of the coops. I got some sawdust in my eye and ended up at First Care with a corneal abrasion. So I had an eye patched and couldn't see straight to do much on computers or with cameras. I'm still a bit blurry. The Dorking is a single comb so you would not be interested. The Buff that I picked out for you is a big guy (compared to the others), has a rosecomb (almost nothing there to be more specific), and has yellow legs (the best I can tell). I think you will like him. I have banded him so we know which one is yours and can hang on to him for a while. I am coming out to Palmer (probably tomorrow) for feed, if you changed your mind and want him sooner. Were you wanting one or two roos?

Anyone else interested in some free roos? I have a really pretty Jersey Giant that will be too big for my girls. He is supposed to be white, but the breeder has been having some almost lilac birds show up. He is kinda smoky colored. Tori has one of the girls from that bunch. How is she looking now Tori?

I would call it a lilac... she is NOT white.

I'm not sure about the Delaware roo, now, either. There's a lot of barring like a roo, but I'm just not seeing any other roo traits.

I'll be happy with a girl, since I've since decided to remove Dellies from the program, but wow... I thought Sandhill was working towards the standard at least a little...

The woman from Passages can't make it til tomorrow, and that's ok.

The egg, is still an egg.

I've been thinking about you since I read you had someone coming for Willow..... I am so sorry you are going through this, and so glad for him he has someone like you to help him go on.... That's what love is about

I just wish it weren't so hard....
We'll just have to wait and see for that egg....

Yeah, I thought that too. Oh dear! I thought for sure that Del was a roo. Tell me the RIR is still a rooster.

I need to take some pictures of the Blues I got from you. The one we both thought was a pullet still looks like a pullet, but the larger chick we thought was a roo seems less rooish. The little guy still looks like a roo, but time will tell.

Yup we will. There's another batch in the mail as we speak. Sent Monday.

Well...Since it's from Wash, I expect they will be here on Monday...

Hopefully in better shape than the last ones...

We will know by then about this one and be able to set them Tuesday... Bonnie, do you want a couple of the Speckled ones? I want to ask you first before I pass them on. I am going to keep 2 I think. They seem pretty lively.

Well he said he had to send me 2 spangleds to make the order complete, SO it looks as tho I'll be raising both types, and that's ok. If you can keep them til I can free up the two freezers... actually I need to CLEAN them, and you can probably guess I'm not up to that right now. Maybe a week?

Also, if this chick DOES happen to pop out late, do you have any medicated chick starter? I forgot to tell Sam to get some last time he was in.

Oh, I have a TRACKING number this time!

Wow.... So you can find out it's "in Transit" .... LOL I just have regular chick starter, but I have some electrolytes and vitamins if you don't..... And I will hold them for you then... They will be fine for a week easy.... Don't worry about that...

They are really cute little blighters... A couple look a little like barn owls with light colored faces.....
