Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

It went great Tori. No problems at all on this end and Carmen's trip was uneventful (I believe). I think Her kids were a little sorry to see them head down the trail!

Yay~! I'm glad you're enjoying them. The little silkies got a little damp this morning... they look MUCH better when their crests are dry and fluffy!

Have a peaceful evening, and hopefully good news tomorrow.

I'm so glad to hear it. I didn't have time to dwell on it, as 15 minutes after she left, we had people show up to do a little "harvesting"...

Only thing I forgot was to include the peepers and hides for Bonnie.

Donna, I'd love for you to come over. I was going to bring you my copy of Outlander, but I forgot it, which IIRC you said you hadn't read. (This was many moons ago, so I don't know if you even remember the conversation.)

Trying to get someone else hooked on the book? LOL!! I think I've read the whole series at least 3 times.

I do remember talking about that book. I have to read it. I don't know how I missed that one! We will have to get together when my crowd gets back and I am not the only one holding down the fort!
It sounds like Arthur may have to have bypass surgery. I should hear tomorrow.
For now, thanks to everyone...Hope all chickens have a good night.
The silkies are beautiful Tori, and the PFW is lovely too. They may have the porch hutch for a while so they are close!
Night All!

The trip went great!! We did not stop along the way--just kept going. About half way there one of the pullets chirped twice, but other than that, noone commented one way or the other about their seating arrangements. Donna got here first and was off before Elizabeth and her family arrived. We delivered Jeanette's birds to her at the wedding And reception she was attending (it was about over), went to dinner and came home to collapse.

Donna, you are right about my DD. She did not want to see those Silkies or peach faced white Americanas go. She was quite taken with Bonnie's white baby girl. She was surprised at her skin color.

I must be the worst biosecure person because my new girls are in there right now sleeping with their new family. I waited til dusk and put them in with the flock after throwing in some sweet corn kernels. Everyone got busy eating. The new girls were a quick study on what one does with corn. Only one red chanticler took serious exception to them being there. They stood up for themselves well. I'll watch them some in the morning when I let them out, but I think they'll settle in well.

So, yeah, everything went well and I'm so glad you all have your chickens. Goodnight.

Good night to you Carmen... And many thanks. You may have to get some silkies for your DD!

Bonnie's girls walked right in like they'd lived there all their lives, right at home. I put mine in on the roost late, and the others were not interested in making a scene anyway.... So in the morning we'll see.
Train's on the siding til next time.

Good morning, all!
Thank you again, Carmen for making the delivery trip with all those chickens. Thank you Tori, for organizing your flock so we would be able to pick out what we wanted.
I put the little girls in the coop outside with a light and Butterscotch to snuggle with, while the big girls roughed it. When it gets light out, I'll let them roam out in the yard, then later I'll let the rest of the big girls out with them. I hope they get along. Eventually.
I love them, though...they are both very beautiful!
