I just feel bad we had not done something sooner.
Culling does not bug me to much. Its part of being a good steward and husbandman.
It bothers me a bit that I did not catch on to the signs of illness earlier.

Sometimes they can fool us with the way they act and we can't tell til too late... I know it's like that sometimes with dogs too. They'll be acting fine and bouncy and the next day they're down... I know this too well.

Well, I need to go work outside again.
And get more done inside.
I am doing a traditional foods class again in a week or so, and need to get my notes ready for that.
Steve is moose hunting next week with one of the men from church ( on horseback!) (Ship Creek hunt)
We did not get a moose in regular season, and Israel is the only one in their family that still needs to get one
I will be bringing home my nephews and niece for half that week so there mom can get ready to start packing to move.
And its my week to do widow service at church next week.
Home cooked meals, calls and visits. I think I will take the kids with for that.

It happens to me, too... especially the internal layers. I'm sorry.

I just read this report: www.cabi.org/animalscience/Uploads/.../24_hashish_mps2009.pdf

That
basically says feeding up to 20% barley radicle pulp from brewery waste significantly REDUCED the amount of plasma cholesterol and triglycerides in egg yolks when fed to laying hens.

I've read other studies that say feeding fish meal significantly INCREASES omega-3 fatty acids.

Seems like barley, especially sprouted barley, and fishmeal makes the basis of super eggs! Now, I'm on to try to find out if the barley HAS to be sprouted to obtain the same effects.

Maybe Donna too? I don't know if I have that much money right now tho... $80 for the barley, $75 for the fishmeal, $20 for BOSS (unless someone knows a cheaper place)... and whatever else I want to put in is close to $200-250 ... maybe I can swing it. Let me talk to Sam. I am trying to see how long the 80lb bag of feed I just got will last me... I opened it on the 15th.

If you need an extra person I will split some of the barley with you. I was thinking about swinging by there and getting myself some. Just have not yet It has been crazy here with the Quail hatching and then the Chickens hatching early. I think the quail are done 34 in all. The chickens are still working on it 4 are out and 1 is all most out. They where not due tell the 21st so I might get more. To pop out we will see.
