Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

Oh it got even better. The guy that was shooting off his fireworks decided to bring his LOUD, off road jeep out into our road at 1am and run it up the street. Good
thing its a dead end road. I was out there in a flash the first time he went by at 100mph or more.....In my bright fluffy red robe, no socks & Merrel slip ons...... Stood at the top of the driveway and waited
for him to come back......He saw me standing there, he was going as slow as he could coming back....Having had a run in with me once before, I can only imagine what he was thinking.
He was slowly pulling up the road and by this point all the lights were on in every house around us and people were standing out on their porches wondering what all the noise was. He was
apologizing 100 feet up the road before he even got to me.....at that point all I could do was smile. Hands across my chest. I looked right at him when he stopped and asked him if he
wanted me to come visit him at 5am in the morning. All he could do was say "I'm sorry!" I forgot what time it was"!!! I said "Dear, there will be a day when your 40 years old, trying
to get some sleep but the punk down the road won't allow it...The next time I have to come out here in my bright red robe, I won't be so nice"!......I then said "Go home, and go to bed
like any normal human being, I don't want to hear another peep out of you".......and walked off. As I was walking off, he said "If I may, I'd like to tell you how nice you look in that red robe!".....

I didn't even acknowledge him...I kept walking. It was all I could do to keep from laughing. I knew better, I'm sure I looked like some big red fluff ball named "Barney"...(I know, hes purple)

Then the dog across the street continued to bark until 3am........I can see I'll need a nap today!

As we are right here on the road in front of everyone, we occasionally have to... um... talk to people that stray onto our property at the wee hours of the morning. Most times it's met with our 10 million candle spotlight on their car.

I can see it now. Next time do it in curlers and cold-cream on your face. Well, if there IS a next time...

I laughed myself silly over that! Can you imagine, a miscreant with charm? He ought to use that imagination to realize how infuriating that sort of behavior is to the rest of us, and to take a look at the calender! 4th is GONE folks... back to real life!
That sounds like my dog. The newspaperman went by at 2 AM and Odin didn't shut up for 20 minutes. It's not like he hasn't heard that vehicle before!

Hi everyone!
We are home!!!! We've been camping since Sunday. We went up through Glennallen to Tok and then to Delta Junction, then back to Glennallen through Paxson and finally to the Matanuska River park for a night.
It was a long trip, but the weather was awesome and the kids did so good in the car.

We stopped at WW's on the way by last night and I got to see her chickens, and geese and meet Willow her pretty dog.

It's good to be home! The only other chickens I got to see were the ones at Rika's roadhouse (museum) in Delta Junction.

Was nice to see you again, even tho I didn't regcognize you when you walked in

I guess I'd seen too many people that day already!! I gotta tell ya, your kiddoes are much better behaved than most all that walk in here. Glad you had a great weekend!!
