Donna, I don't know if you use cartons for hatching or not, but with the ducks, don't... I have one pipped right now, too (day 25) and it's on the wrong end. I've lost a lot of ducks this year trying to do it in the cartons, and having the cartons wick all the moisture out and kill them. So lay them on their sides if you can.
IFF... did you grind the food small enough for them to eat? They're so tiny that the crumbles are too big for them, and if they don't eat right away they will waste away.
I'm so sorry.
They are on their sides in the Brinsea.. I'd originally planned to put them in cartons but decided against it. Good thing I guess! There are 2 pipped, on the right end thank heaven, and the third is quiet at present but they are early so....

In the meantime, get him a small mirror he can see himself in and make him a feather duster. 4-6 inch feathers tied together and suspended from above to where it almost reaches the floor of his cage (so he can get under it if he likes). I have used these with lone chicks and it works.
I get to meet TORI tomorrow! I don't know how long we'll get to visit since we need to get checked into the hotel
and whatnot...but we will be stopping in for sure! We are supposed to leave around noon...we'll see......
IIF, good luck with that little one....I sure hope it survives.
