Does Jim KNOW you're talking about more babies? Even after he all but tied you up and hauled you away without birds from here the other day?

GoodMorning .....
I spent too much time outside yesterday in the heat, but I have all my April hatched hens, moved to their new Flocks, and pens....
Light Brahma breeding flock gained 17 young hens
and the layer flock gained 10 young hens,
Barred Rock chicks moved into the winter coop for temp growout pen, and the 30 chicks hatched in June have their own sectioned of portion of the coop, they just are not big enough to be added to their new flocks yet. I still have 20 in the brooder from the July hatch that should be ready to move to the coop next week, from the size and feathering,.......

then I will be setting more eggs I think.

So far no broodie hens here, so looks like I will have to start incubating again.

*SIGH* It looks as tho there is ONE chick so far moving of the 13 I had. Donna candled for me today and we tossed 5 that were definitely no good. So we'll look again in a few more days...

Tori, are you kidding me! Now, he would know if I really, really wanted birds....but for some reason I'm really wanting to try just regular old Cornish hens. Not the Cross......I came
to my senses though, I think it was just a weak moment in time!

We can hope... They can't do much worse than they did with these if you get more...

We checked the hive today and we have Honey!

Not as much as we would have had on a normal year, but more than I hoped for considering the summer we've had. (Zero is what I expected actually)...
