I just ordered online, we should know something in the next couple of days if they
turn my order away. That was Tori's idea! Thanks TORI! lol....

I just got a confirmation letter, 8/11 is ship date!

My experience with Welp has been nothing but wonderful until today when the lady said no
they can't ship those breeds to Alaska....I ordered all those meat chicks from Welp, didn't lose one...except the one I laid the waterer on! lol

Oops!! Well the next time I need birds I guess that's who I'll use then. Hopefully that won't be til next spring or so... right now I'm overcrowded as it is and in the process of strangling a couple of mean roos if they don't knock it off!! The new tractor will solve that problem tho.

You could always skin all those Roo's throw them into a pot. They make wonderful chicken stock!

The other thing, if we are all smart about it, we all order our meat chicks at the same time and get them cheaper. Remember
with Welp shipping is included so what you order is the price you pay.

The only Silver Campine I have ever known scared the living daylights out of me. I was working at the "farm" exhibit at the Memphis zoo for a 4-H project when I was a kid. Their whole schtick was having rare and heritage breeds of livestock. It was kind of cool, really, but the Campine nailed me everytime I cleaned the run (daily, gotta keep everything shiny for the on-lookers) and he was half the size of all the other roos! They also had brown leghorns, dominiques, jungle fowl, and something else....he was the only mean one.

Did you say you were wanting mahogany Orloffs, wolfwoman? Have you had experience with them? The lady Deb got some of the Dels from PMd me back on an inquiry about Orloffs. Said she loves the orloffs, but they are super aggressive to other roos so you can definitely only have one per pen. I just hope they aren't mean to people! BTW, she's working on Crele Orloffs right now. Sounds interesting.
