As hard as it will be I am NOT going to take the cot and sleep in the store with Willow. Abnormal actions will just make things worse for him I believe. He already knows that mom and dad are upset, so as much as I don't want to, I have to let him be where he's comfortable and what he's used to.
Tears come and exhaustion will set in, but I must do what's best for HIM, not what's best for ME and often that's so darn hard. Normalcy is one of the toughest things to do for a pet when all you wish is to fawn over them and will them better.
There is no preparation, there is only knowing, and waiting and hoping.
