Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

Go gluten free for 2-4 weeks.
Then eat a slice of bread.
If you feel really good being off gluten, and then that slice of bread does awful things to you, you will have your answer.

Celiacs and gluten intolerance is caused by modern grain preperation. Most people have problems with improperly prepared grains, but have no idea.
Old fashioned sourdough solves all those problems.
I've got the best sourdough rye bread recipe.

gluten is in wheat, barley, spelt and kamut.....
and just about every prepared/processed food out there

That would be impossible for me... I'm a carboholic... LOL Might have to be something that happens in the middle/end of winter when our resources are getting low and there's none around.

Good luck with the hunt!

Deb I'll check that link!

Wow... missed 3 pages! OK... Donna has Silkies #6 and #7, Aimee has #3 splash.

Bonnie, I had all of my silkie hens broody at ONE TIME this summer... they seem to like to co-broody.

She's a good little mother. Looking at my list, #1 is the only other one that I suspect is a girl... I have a ? next to it, though. And it will be months before she goes broody.
I have BSLs in all age groups, down to ~ 4 weeks old. So I'm sure we can find 3 that will work for you.

People keep trying to tell me the lavenders are boys, but they never went through the "molting T-rex" stage like most of my orp boys go through. So

Here's one of the blue orpington pullets...

And my splash Orpington rooster, the one BBS that hatched with the lavenders from Angie.

. Paula is back!! I just popped over to your blog this evening wondering if you were back. I'm glad you are feeling so much better. Glad to see that you got a good return on your gardening, chickens and hunting this year. We did okay with our chickens but had a bunch die. I have arranged to get a side of beef from Larry and he is going to save fat for me to make soap out of. I am so excited!! We really miss the beef we had in Texas. I traded some chickens for salmon. My garden was mostly a flop this year, but the chickens and ducks thought the broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and pea vines were fantastic. I hope you get a moose.
