Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

LOL!! I hear ya, I have one of those as well.....

Sounds interesting. I think with the extreme cold that we do have, a regular light bulb might
not be able to keep up with heating things up. Now if you added a heat lamp, that might be an idea.......

He dismantled his workbenches to build the chicken tractor...what a guy! He loves the girls as much as I do, too.

No, I never did hear back from Suzy about that. I'd emailed her on Thursday, and then we had that windy day...so I was giving her some time in case they'd had damage out at their place. lol, do you want her?

There is a possibility I may be making a weekly run into Anchorage if I can start getting enough eggs and other farm products from various sources together. I would be going to Mill & Feed, and probably also frequently stopping at Cost Co.

Would anyone be interested in having me pick-up their Mill&Feed or Cost Co shopping for them to help defray the cost of gas? I could also bring stuff from up here if anyone in Anchorage needs it. (Wal-Mart feed, hay, Budget Feed, etc.) I'm thinking a really modest delivery charge of $5-$10 or so split between a few people would work?

Anyway, we should figure some kind of Co-Op. If someone else has to go into town regularly anyway, maybe we could rotate or something.

Also, WW and I were talking on another thread about having a BYC feed buyers co-op so we could get bulk rates. Something else to think about and look into.

I would be interested in doing a co-op. Let me know if you start one. Also I was Just at the Fread myer store in Eagle River and saw that they had a 40 pound bag of boss on sale for 17.99. I dont know what you guys pay for it but it sounded like a good deal to me. I get a discount on the sale price by 15% so it was a really nice deal.
