Alaska chicken owners-pest question

I live in Wasilla. Can any of tell me what mites, ticks and other bugs I have to worry about up here north North? It seems like the hotter climates would breed more varieties of bugs. I would like to know what you have experienced and what are possiblities for my darling chickens.

Yes but our extreme cold temps come into play too... One of the reasons that most of the state doesn't have a horrid flea problem like the Lower 48.
