Yep! I guess they do a complete turn around once on vitamins for a few days.

The only thing that is kind of strange is that I havent had many leg problems
except for the one who developed wrong who we had to cull, Splint with his broken leg and a quail that
had spraddle leg.....other than that they were all fine. But I also give them Avia charge in
their water maybe that helps.....


Hypothetical situation.....


Ash, if you have 20 coming out and ready to go into lockdown in Amy's incubator and you have 20 in yours which
are about a week behind. You can take the ones that are in your incubator and put them into Amy's to finish cooking
while you take the same amount out of Amy's to go into lockdown in yours. This is how you do a staggered hatch.

You can start a hatch in your incubator as long as you don't exceed the same amount coming out going into lockdown....

I missed a lot today. Gotta catch up!

Bob (the State Vet) was here today doing my quarterly inspection/sampling for NPIP. (which is another reason why I missed a lot! - 3 hours!!) He asked me about the feed situation. Cadre feeds here in Soldotna was having the same problems with the curled feet on chicks they had ordered in. One of the employees said that the symptoms cleared up after adding vitamins to the water, which confims my suspicions that it's a vitamin deficiency. Bob thought so too. I add a little vitamins to the water for all my chicks as a habit, so I haven't experienced any of the problems so far.

Those are the last of my shipped eggs. Now that I have my NPIP certs, apparently I'm not allowed to bring in non-NPIP birds anymore.

I don't think that means chicks hatched from eggs, though. I'm not sure.

I don't see any reason for me to have one, I don't ship anything....

Unless there are other reasons to have it?

If these BCMs do survive I'll be amazed, my humidity hasnt been any lower than 65 up to 75. They are still upright.

My humidity is VERY high.. I sure hope the other BCM will do something. The 9 Dellies have a home..

I'll feel bad for this little guy all by him/her self....

Steph's birds are doing well. I think if you buy them when they first get in and they don't have much time eating the AMF, they should be okay. (In theory)
