Goodness,

I HAVE to do something soon. Hubby comes home from the slope on Monday and I don't have any eggs
in the house that aren't "reserved" (my crosses which are usually our eating eggs are reserved too!) ...He's not gonna be happy about not having eggs to eat! LOL!

You have a lot of hands to hold Aimie... and Deb is telling you true... Its really great fun and rewarding, even with the ups and downs.

You also have many things going for you that some of us didnt have...

1. You can see the parents
2. You can see the eggs
3. You have all of us
4. They aren't shipped eggs

I can get anywhere from 2-4 eggs now. I got 4 today but only two yesterday.

This is all true, and if I want Orphs (and I do) or BCMs I know where I will get them from now on. Much better than going outside for shipped eggs.

You tell me how many you want and that's what you'll get...up to a dozen is a safe bet. That way they arent sitting around long and we'll increase your odds. I come into Wasilla quite a bit, we can always meet there, whatever.....I'm flexible!

Deb you are a rascal!!! And my incubator is full of Norwegians so ....rats!

I like being ornery, keeps folks on their toes. But I tell you, you guys have got to be
quicker than Tori..she can be quiet all day long, mention eggs going to the fridge and
she pops out like a little mouse after the cheese.....

Thank you Aimee.... I have only the few chicks in the brooder, but I need more chicks to choose from to keep for next year, and I'm really worried. Same thing with my Orpingtons. I just realized tonight that I really need to keep a couple dozen just for me or I won't have new stock to keep laying for next year. You guys may have gotten the last of the available orpingtons until later this summer....

Okay Deb, you've convinced me, I'll add yours to the batch I get from craigslist. I'll pm you for phone info. I can only have so many in my coop, so I may have to share the wealth depending on how many I can get to hatch.

My DH works on the slope too. He used to work for CH2MHILL, but just got hired on by BP in Feb. He comes home tomorrow.
