One of the little brown guys was stuck in the shell and DH helped him out. When I got home from work he was laying on his back, glued to the wire in the incubator. I softened him up and got him free then gave him a bath and blew him dry. He cuddled in my bathrobe while I was on the computer (most of the night). I put him back in the bator for the night and next morning he was ready to go into the brooder with the rest of the weekends hatch.
I have sold most of my last 2 batches. All I have left are the roos and the 4 blue eggers. I don't have anything else hatching till the 19th or so.

Day 17, Report
2 Clear non Fertile at day 10, Left until Day 13 for better/clearer candling.
2 removed tonight stopped developing: 1 early quiter (just eye showing), 1 just quit in the last 24-48 hours: no movement, (the lower portion was clear, instead of dark) .

Humidity upped to 40% Temp 99.0-100.3

Lockdown will begin morning of the 5th.
Hatch Date should be the 7th for the remaining 23 eggs.

So I'm down to two little guys, the wheaties. I'm sitting in the chair with them laying on my chest. They had been pretty noisy all morning and they seem to calm down
when they are with me.......
We are sitting there quietly watching Regis and Kelly, when all of a sudden the larger one of the two decides that there was a hair in my nose that needed
taken care of. I never in my life had been caught off guard that bad until that moment in time. Now that the pain in my nose and my watery eyes
have cleared up, I can laugh about it.....

Somehow I messed up the dates according to the chart; I am supposed to be in lockdown today. So I removed the auto turner & added the eggs to the carton and upped humidity. But how I missed up still has me confused. I set on the 14th Valentine’s Day before noon, so why does lockdown start now? I thought it was supposed to start on the 5th, but the chart says the 4th? I don’t think 24 hours sitting still should make much difference in the hatch. I will recheck the humidity in a little while as I filled both water wells and I am unsure if it will raise enough without closing the front vent.

(too late), the one was just an eye and some tissue;
the other looked fine, except there was no heartbeat when cracked open, but the veins looked good. I don't know what happened or why....
