Hi All,
Well, this week I hatched out some Polish, Ameraucanas, OEGBs, and Guineas. My Guineas are finishing up today. The only thing I have left in my incubator (for the moment) is some Muscovy eggs. Looking to get some Cochins and runner ducks.
Happy Hatching

Just got back home and #2 was dead as well, #3 is squawking like crazy and wants to be with the rest of the group so she's in the brooder now. 7 out of 15, Not good.....

I'll probably wait till the very last minute to put these last three in the bator on Weds. Maybe that'll help them and increase their chances of survival until hubby can get around
to altering the hatcher.

Some good news though, once the new incubator gets here our plans are to add White crested black Polish (large fowl) and the Blue marans to our brood...Something to look
forward to!

THINKING???? HA! I think that may be required by now deary! LOL

No kidding Aimee, once I suck you into the BCMs world you'll be right up there with Tori, Donna and I.... hehe

Can this day get any worse?

I noticed another one of the chicks wasnt doing so well.

I turned him over.....

Beware! GRAPHIC!!!!!

And his intestines are hanging out. At least that is what it looks like. What ever it is was attached to his umbilical cord and someone had pulled on it while I was gone....Now to figure out how to put him down.

I'm so sorry. I lost the little girl I had been carrying around in my camisole yesterday... and Stephanie just sent me photos of the damage some of the chicks did to another's vent... owie. I'd rather have hemorroids than go through that!
Well, some happy news, the marans eggs you sent me are tucked safely in the 1502

Thank you so much... and the BCM roo is so sweet... I put him in the layer coop, in the dark with a few other birds. There has been no fighting at all, even with Duncan, the colorful boy I got from you last summer. Duncan is head roo in the layer coop, and if I was getting more eggs I'd hatch some of them to see what we would get!
