I dont know.....I have seen a full grown Tom beat the living tar out of a full grown
female bullmastiff......I think that was the last day she even thought of chasing
ANYTHING!

Yeah, but these people do nto train this dog, and let her run amuck. Even on our property. They are encouraging bad behavior, to the point that I have to be careful when I am outside alone. They have another dog that is even worse.
A few weeks ago, I went out our back door and he jumped out at me, from the side of the deck where he was hiding.
Growling to beat the band! ANd then he squared off at my DH for telling him to go home!
Dh has warned them what the consequenses could be, but I don't think they really care!

Unfortunatly it sounds like something drastic will have to happen before those owners
learn their lesson. We have had quite a few like that in the area we are in. We just got to the
point that when someone new moves in around here we introduce ourselves and they get the "friendly" warning.

We don't ask questions anymore.....we have lost more birds and rabbits than I can count on two hands. It's not
happening anymore.

Yeah, we need to visit the newest neighbors still. They have no less then 6 dogs that are allowed to run at will several times a day as well. Tiny rat terriers, all the way up to Chow mixes.
I want the old neighbors back

I am looking forward to the day when we move and have only a few elderly people down the road from the huge property in a farming community.
We will still fence areas in, but at least we will not be packed in with who knows what in a non farming area!

Well, I am off to construct a couple of brooder boxes.
Those two hens are still on the nest, so its looking pretty good!

By the way, anyone interested in a 3 month old White Cochin pair, that are on the smaller side?
The hen is as cute as a button!

Not sure how old the turkeys would need to be before processing, but when you add the incubation time to that, it might be better to start with chicks.

I made an order with Wolf Lake Wellness, can't wait to see the produce!

Ash how is the baby?

I don't get people that have no control over their dogs. I have NINE large dogs and they have never bothered anyone else, and they don't get into trouble... Unless you have a completely fenced yard, your dog needs to be penned or tied!! Don't get me started with irresponsible dog owners!

Paula, they take 26-28 days, so roughly a month to hatch... The heritage breeds take a little longer to mature than the BBBs or BBWs, but you should still have a sizeable bird for the T-day dinner if you start now. I don't know anything about the Royal Palms, though...
