Okay, I bought two Light Brahmas since they're so sweet, and my FIL is taking mine out to the bush with him, and I got that one huge cochin, that was all alone because I'm a sucker and I felt bad for it. She's sweet though and ready to be outside so no brooding! The LB are a week younger than the BCMs I hatched and went right in to the brooder with them. They are almost ready to be outside.
I just didn't want to start at day one again, lol.

Ahh yes that white cochin, I am SOOO happy you took her home! I also felt bad for the white polish that were stuck in the corner, but at least they had buddies.

I hear ya, Im almost done hatching myself. Cree sent me more eggs so Im waiting on those to hatch and we'll be done for the year. I have two BCM roo's (so far) that need a home. I had thought about placing
Norman and keeping his son that didnt have as much color. He's looking pretty nice now, Thanks Tori (it was her idea I hang on to him for a bit)! lol......!

I have two really nice Dellie roos too, I really don't
want to see them head to the freezer. I'm almost leaning towards butchering Mayo and keeping one of his boys. I still have a few babies that need to grow up and I'll know more sexes then but I am ready to enjoy
my summer. I'm sick of staring at incubators!

Its just north of Delta Junction

Well wishes and rain thoughts are being sent that way!! I have a friend that just moved from Delta to AZ a month or so ago. Best of luck!! We had not even NEAR enough snow this year!

Same here I think we had rain for all of two hrs total this summer and no snow to speak of at all. And where this started at it was the first rain and lighting starter the fire. I have a friend who has a farm right up by the dozer lines all of her animals are already gone down by us with her oldest daughters except one broody hen who is here. But it does look like for now they are safe.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts this is a hard one, my husband and one of the other firefighters will be heading out first thing after shift change in the morning to see what we can do. If it reaches the guys property behind us its gonna burn, the funny thing is the state is getting water to fight it from quarts now if they could just hit the three places on the back edge a few times then keep hitting the fire it would be great.
