The mallards would probably be the same as the wild version. They're much smaller than the Rouens or Khaki Campbells. Mine are fairly good layers, but they ARE seasonal, unlike the others mentioned.

Tori what do they weigh full grown? I don't mind if they don't lay well, they are for company, and my son likes them....

I think the hens weigh up to 2 pounds, the drakes not much more.
They're pretty too.

First pip seen just a few minutes ago!

out of 10 eggs in lockdown.....hatch date June 17th
added extra water to bring humidity to 50% (with syringe and small straw).

I will keep you all posted!
