Are you sure that isn't what's happening?

I only get alerts on Sally's Thread the day I am on there. Let's say.. example: I am on until 10 pm.. I say goodnight to the stragglers at that time when I leave the web for the bed. The next day their are a dozen replies but I wasn't alerted on the second day.. of the first reply from anyone.
Example #2. My Funny Caption machine thingy with DH. If I don't go there I don't know there was activity.
My Yum thread pretty much alerts me.

Now if I say welcome to the newbies.. I'll get alerts for a couple maybe 3 days.. And a alert every time someone replies even if I don't go back to review the new welcomes.

Now I am opening the alert page everyday instead of just the pop up, to scroll down to the last of the recent just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I have found out the last couple weeks it is easier for me to just bookmark my creations so I can jump right to them without reminders.

My o.p. is not intended to imply that this little alert thingy is an inconvenience in anyway shape or form.
Just wondering if I am doing something wrong.
I will try to screen shot alerts tomorrow in the main alert page, not just examine the pop up..

This is no real big deal.. really. just wondering maybe it is me or my browsers..

I have the issue of not receiving alerts when there are new replies. I have the issue for sure on your Yum thread and I’m subscribed to that thread. All of my settings are set to notify me, so nothing is turned off.
I have found other threads that I’ve responded to, but have not gotten an alert that there is a new reply. But, those threads would eventually go dormant unlike the Yum thread.
My alerts work like you’ve explained as well. As long as I’m active on the thread, I get the replies that day,. But, if I don’t post, I don’t get reply alerts the following days when in fact there are new replies to the post.

I am on an IPad most days. However, on my android phone, the alerts don’t update even when I’ve refreshed the page.

This morning, 37 are in my Alerts summary pop up bubble... Except no alerts for this thread were found in the pop up alert summary. Scrolling back thru 3 pages I found new posts for this thread 75 alerts deep(in the pages).
When I clicked on the alerts from the summary pages, indeed they were unread new posts.
So I believe the missing alerts would be located in the Alert Pop Up Window/Bubble, not the Alerts pages.

I have learned that the pop up alerts doesn't show as many as the pages. Not sure if it is time related at the moment.

I get alerts even though I've got 0 boxes checked. I'm not alert challenged,I'm alert blessed.
