Alfalfa Pellets for ducks

I've been reading that some duck breeder supplement their ducks feed with Alfalfa Pellets during the breeding season.

Does anybody here do this? If so, what brand do you use? I have a Tractor Supply and an Agway near me.

I like to throw some out for mine. Either the pellets or cubes. They like them better if you soak them first......at least mine do.

I just got some Producer's Pride Alfalfa Pellets.

I gave some to the ducks, but they didnt seem to care for them, neither did the geese. So I wet some, but they still didnt like it. I guess they will just have to get used to it.

i gave mine fresh alfalfa sprouts and they looked at me like i was crazy. I tried to get them to eat kale as well, to which they said, "Oh heckie no woman, we want the good stuff, give us peas!"

everyone is fat...er i mean...big...boned??, and happy, I don't give them rabbit food all the time though, just every other day.

How long do you soak them? Does you find warm vs cold water works better?

Warm water makes them dissolve faster.
