Alfalfa?

I soaked pellets in water, less waste than the cubes( less hard stems). They love it!

Try making a mash by soaking them. You can even make it yummier by adding some yogurt after it gets all soft and mushy.
Make sure it doesn't sour in the heat, though. I would add some ice cubes, make only a little bit and leave it down for only a couple of hours. Make sure you wash out the pan that you feed it in well.
