ALL 25: THERE HERE! PICS!!!

Very cute....I had a very good experience with Ideal also. My dobie is great with my chicks and birds!

Awww...and those are the exact breeds I'm ordering - except I'm only getting one of each. They're beautiful!

I'm in Southern Oregon.

Would you mind keeping us updated on the personality of your Delawares?

The reason I ask is that I love the breed. I had ordered some from MM, and once they became mature they went evil on me (just ask Cyn). The roo started attacking my DD, and the hen started pecking everyone and running my BR hens around. Even their offspring were evil little critters who picked on their broodermates (ask Cyn LOL).

I loved the eggs I got from the hen - a LOT of double yolkers...and would try the breed again from a "kind" strain.

Thank you Egh, and to all the rest.

Kate, I'll let everyone know if my Dels become evil :-). The breed's not known for it, at least not from all descriptions I've read. Maybe a bad gene pool for the breed at MM hatchery?

Sorry Brian - not to hyjack your post...

Mine were super sweet, cuddly even (unusual since I don't spend that much time with my chickens). It (the change) came about 2 months after they reached egg laying age.

I, too, read they are supposed to be sweet, I figure it was just the bloodlines from MM. SO - that's why I ask!

Too freaking cute! I can't get enough of the cute little fluff butts!

And I love your dobie! I've wanted one ever since I was a child, but I've never been able to have a dog. Our family friends breed oversized dobies, the big 120 pound ones, and I used to ride their stud dogs around when I was 3-4, and I could walk their two stud dogs by myself when I was 5 because they were so sweet and respectful. They knew I was too little to drag. I always though people were idiots who would see us coming and cross the street so they wouldn't have to come near the dobies. I was like, do you not notice the girl that weights a third of their weight walking them? I think you're safe. Lol.
