My electric went off a few days back and so I ran the eggs to my mother's house - where power goes out.
She was there - I explain 1000 times - do not touch it, do not unplug it - she went out of town . . .
yesterday when her plane landed, I reminded her to NOT touch it or unplug it -

Today she calls and asked if it is supposed to be plugged up -
day 16 on hatch (handled all had viable chicks on 14th) - I went nuts.
She said, "Oh, I must have unplugged it when I can in yesterday EVENING."

I paid a lot for these and getting that many shipped eggs 27 out of 29 to that point isn't
apt to happen again . . .

I don't even know if she plugged them back in, BUT I am sure that after all night and most of the morning - ALL are lost, of course

You would be surprised how tough they can be. They may all be dead or you may get a decent hatch. Stranger things have happened. Prepare yourself for the worst but give them a chance.

I agree, don't give up and make sure she plugged it back in! Even if you get half of them it's still better then nothing! They are touch little buggers and I bet some of them will still hatch.

Keep trying. I just had a staggered hatch where my heat source went out 3 times over the hatch and the temps went down to 70 for 8 + hours. not all the eggs hatched but a lot of them did.

Don't give up hope. I have had low temps and temp spikes and still a decent hatch.

Good luck.
