******ALL ABOARD! We're looking to start an EGG TRAIN!*******

Maybe we should start with one goal at a time and work from there. This way we can focus on coordinating one trip at a time until we have mor people on board and it gives us time and experience to work on making things better, discussing what went wrong, etc.

I think your little EE egg trip is a great place to start! Get that coordinated and see how it goes then work out some of the kinks and try again.

I think we need to get the little roos mom on board, because I still would just LOVE to have one! Im sure my girls would love to have one too!

I think your right. I wanted one the moment I saw them. We'll get either one of these or work our other plan. One way or another.

Problem with the EEs is that I don't have enough people signed up for my area and some of the in betweens yet. If I don't get something started soon for her, I'll end up sending them there the mail

I'd hate to have to do that, but I said if someone wanted to help me get started I'd give them the eggs and look at all the work she's done here. I asked her to try and keep it going and she really did.

Terry!

Maybe we can work with one or two short distance trips to see how they go and compare to see which one worked the smoothest.

We do need a good game plan though. Maybe we can get a chat together.

All in all at least there has been a lot of interest and not even 24 hours yet

Once we get it started and find what works best, this will be a great way to move our eggs and have them safe. I can't wait to finally meet some of the members

With enough people to help we'll do fine. Might just take a few tries to figure it all out. I really think that some will just use the information and arrange their own deliveries which is absolutely fine, but I'd like to know that when someone needs help we can be there for them.

I do know I'm going to have to be more awake to keep up with Terry.

Why don't you get out roo lady on her and lets dee if we can move 2 roos and drop these eggs to Terry along the way? Depending on where she is and if I can get a hold of someone up there, I might be able to meet someone in ...............oh I don't know.....Tahoe!!!! LOL

I got a Royal Palm turkey tom that was about 7-months-old from JenjScott in Arkansas last November. She was coming to the Ohio Nationals and I met her along the way. It worked out well. She did say that birds had to be NPIP to cross the state line. You may want to check into that. I think most states may have different laws about that too.

Thank you for mentioning that. I'll have to check to see if the same is true of hatching eggs.

I'm thinking the eggs will be alright since we can still send them without NPIP certification, but you never know.

Is there anyone who would like to help Terry and I collect information and try to figure out a system here?

And more input people. Even something we think might not be a problem could very will end up causing us trouble so lets figure out what we need to know so we can run this efficiently.

I'm trying to locate some people who are still working with the movement of other typs of animals and see if they can head me in the right direction for some research.

Thanks to everyone who has added their services. Hopefully we will grow leaps and bounds. It's only been about 24 hours so far and look how we are growing!

Maybe the other people who do the movement of animals you mentioned would be able to help transport too.

Like you said before, truckers could be our biggest asset.

Is there anyone else that has some kind of job or something that involves them traveling long distances frequently? Like contract workers for oil rigs and survey companys?

I think this is a great idea once you get all the logistics and legalities spelled out, especially regarding crossing state lines. I don't want to be that one friend who has someone else's eggs confiscated while under my care.

You might want to have people sign up to be included in a type of frapper map, like we have done below for those raising MF Cochins. It's really pretty easy to set up, and it can map pretty easily with as little information as a zip code. It can get pretty hectic and busy with a lot of addresses (especially over 500), but it might be a place to start.

They may be willing to help. Now if I can just locate my people again.

Don't know why I'm having such a hard time thinking of jobs or reasons people need to travel.

I wonder if leaving a flier at a truck stop would help? Then again, it's better if we know these people and not sure someone would just be willing to transport for free when they are trying to make a living.

Just had a vision! Truck load or hatching eggs being delivered to my door for some unknown trucker. Oh I feel light headed!
