******ALL ABOARD! We're looking to start an EGG TRAIN!*******

I worked in the music business up to my retirement 2 years ago and we travelled on tour buses all over the country. Only problem with using that method to transport eggs is that it might take you 2 months or more working your way across the US.

I was thinking about looking up the sites they have out for people who just travel around with their RVs, but I know they are not in a huge rush.

That doesn't leave anyone out though, because we are looking for people who will come through for the net leg of the journey.

I'm in!

I go to Crossville TN from Columbia TN at least once per month. I can haul birds or eggs, just give me a PM!

Maybe an idea for organization.... How about someone from each state (or region of states for those with large BYC populations) volunteer to be the "state chairperson" and then they can do a user search to contact people in their state or region through PMs and emails to find out if they would be interested in helping if/when needed. They can then maintain their list so that when transport is needed from here to there, you'd only have to contact one person (the state coordinator) who would then find someone/s who would be willing to do the transport through the state to meet up with the next.

So what would happen is.... You or whoever/s are "national coordinators" get a call/msg needing eggs from ohio to arkansas. So you look at your list and know that A, B, C, & D are the coordinators of each of the 4 states involved in transfer Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas. You call them tell them what is needed they then in turn contact their state people and get volunteers to handle, maybe even numerous through the state, so noone has to devote a whole day/tank of gas to transport. And arrangements go from there. That way no one person is in charge of finding the whole train and through delegation of state reps more people can be contacted and arranged?

Can also post this "Coordinator" list so that for shorter transfers they may can arrange their own. Ie., I need to get some eggs to west texas from central arkansas. So I contact tx coordinator and they get someone in texarkana, TX to meet me in texarkana and pick them up, then deliver them to next in line, etc.

Thats just some ramblings I've come up with?? Maybe worth something, maybe not. Let me know what you think. I volunteer to be Arkansas.

Oh and I guess it wouldnt even have to be a BYCer that transported as long as it was someone that was instructed on care and trusted. Like if Im coordinator and need someone to get birds from point A to B but noone is availblein that region on that day but they may say that their brother drives from A to B daily to work then the brother would be the transporter for that leg of the journey?? make sense or ???
