jnkir7 is in jonesboro arkansas and coming all the way to shelby nc on the 10th of June. That is a HUGE chunk of the trip.
It is 2,655 miles from Modesto to me and I see if taking I-40 E it will take1 day 18 hours

I have thought about the problems of transporting across state lines. The only thing I think we have to worry about is the fact that states differ as to what you can cross the state line with. We may have an issue as far as species. I know here in California I can not have Mute Swan brought in.

We do NOT want to break any type of laws. This is very important.

It's funny in a way, because before the post was even made I was trying to figure out if this would be an advantage or disadvantage to members in Alaska. In the case of Alaska there is the problem maybe of enter another country first and I'm affraid we may noy be able to help anyone there aquire the stock that they want and need. They have a difficult enough time getting many of the shipments that we in the lower states are able to aquire and that for granted. Then I see where the first question question of concern came from.

There are very legitimate questions and concerns and this is why I'm so happy to see the amount of people who would like to be involved. It helps us to look into an issue before it becomes one. We are going to need more help here to make sure this is done legally and efficently.

I'm having a hard time explaining about the issue of sale. Please forgive me at times. I have had several strokes and a brain tumor and it sometimes interfers with my ability to express both written and verbal. Still tired, so I having a brain dead moment.

I don't want to get this started and have anyone think I'm bailing so please bare with me. I do have some down moments.

I have purchased dogs from all over the country and from several countries over seas. I have had friends pick up a puppy from another state after I have made a purchase and it was not illegal for them to deliver the dog to me. They were going to be in the area,I made a purchase and they would pick up my purchase for me. I did usually contribute to fuel since they were doing me a favor and I felt I should return the favor. This was not always the issue, but I always offered. Heck I've even ordered a cheesecake and had someone bring it back on a plane for me.

There will be no money exchanged from the person picking up a delivery in order to make a profit. We are doing this out of friendship and to help others. Sales should still remain between the buyer and seller.


I want to thank Terry for doing an awesome job so far

She liked my idea and ran with it and I think she's just amazing.

I know I need help. There would be no way I could pull this off alone and I'm hoping we can build a big support team to make this run smoothly. Terry is a doer, but she can't do all of this alone either, so we'll need more help.

I noticed there were post from people who want to contribute, but for one reason or another can not be involved with the train in mobile form. We will most likely run into problems and have setbacks. Things happen. It would be easier if there were member who were capable of helping if a problem occurs. We'll need people to coordinate and so on. OR......We can provide information, keep travel availability updated, help with contacts, whatever seems to work out best and buyers and sellers can contact and arrange their train according to the information provided. You could also start a train and see if anyone has time to do a delivery or part of one by giving a starting point and destination and asking for anyone available to drive your train.

Ummmm. terry can you add a like to the other information. I couldn't find it either. Just so you know I have been dealing with a tempermental pc while writing just this post and it's been almost 2 hours, so you see what I'm dealing with. I think my connection only performs well a certain times of the night.

I was thinking too about where I firsy started this thread and was thinkng it should have been in the area where there are swaps. Then again it would be so cool if we could get a section for this only. It would make looking for our travelers so much easier.

Please give us more input here. Lets make this a win win experience for all of us. AND don't forget to let others know what we are trying to do here. Like I said we can't do this alone and it would be nice to have several people on here that could help others.



Now..............Dragon if we can work on getting those roos from Oregon to California and eggs and roo to you and Terry we would be on a roll.
