@Chicken Chiquita hasn't been active recently but she has muskrats near her! Not marine, but that's what I thought of when I saw "otters."This is a wonderful thread and you have some great contributors! Does anybody live where there are marine mammals like otters? Whales, dolphins?
HORSES.What are a few of your favorite mammals?
Elephants. I really want to go to the Okavango Delta to see the elephants. Like I will ever get to go.What are a few of your favorite mammals?

Thank you!I love it! I love all your side notes and different angles. You're a great drawer!
That's still awesome even if you've skipped some days! I would love to see some of your drawings, too! I basically just draw birds from pics, too. I always take too long to draw them while they're still in front of me... so I take quick pictures of them in the moment and try drawing them later. I suppose that isn't ideal for a journal, but because I'm drawing them from pics of individual birds that I saw that they are relevant and it helps capture details I otherwise would have missed. So that's what I'm doing for now! I need to get better at being able to capture enough angles and patterns in a shorter amount of time that I'll be satisfied.I've been meaning to start a field journal, but so far I only draw birds from pictures. I'm doing a bird-a-day challenge this year, but I'm on bird 47 and I'm supposed to be past 70![]()
I usually have weeds. Mostly mustard weed, goatheads and foxtail grass. This year the chickens ate all the little sprouts and we've been weed free so far!I found a plant in my yard that might be Goutweed, which is invasive here and I've heard it spreads quickly and is hard to exterminate. We won't be sure that it is Goutweed until it is older, but to be safe I spent 45 minutes digging up all the roots I could. I would be a fool to think I exterminated it, but hopefully I hindered it. I saved a couple shoots in a pot to be my houseplants for a while until it is old enough to positively identify!
Thank you so much! I'll start adding dates! This is AMAAAAZING! What an artist you are! Don't EVER throw this away or give it away. You will get better, but KEEP THIS!!! Also, date it, write the dates you saw these birds, it's the beginning of your Life List. Birders keep track. Cooking, gotta run. ❤
