" All dogs seen wandering this property will be shot"

Where I live you are not allowed to let your dogs out without a leash, if they are reported causing a problem while without a leash the animal could be taken from the owner or the owner could be fined.
If your laws are the same I would threaten to report her.

Shoot the dog in the butt with a BB gun. We had issues with a neighbor's dog attempting to jump our fence when one of our dogs was in heat. A BB to the hindquarters is surprisingly effective.

I can carry a gun any time I want on my own property. It's not against the law, unless you're a felon. It's very common for people in rural areas with livestock to carry guns. After all, when the roaming dogs or other predators come, they don't wait for you to go get the gun.

I would be out there with a video camera and my telephone in my hand. Next time she comes by, start the video and let her know that you are recording her and her dogs actions so you will have documentation for the prosecutors when it harms one of your ducks . Let her know that the phone is so you can call animal control the moment she lets her dog off the leash.

You have a right to let your animals free range on your property. You are not in the wrong. The neighbor has no right to use your property as her own personal dog park. She is in the wrong. In her yard or under control on a leash, the dog is a pet. In your yard chasing ducks, it's a predator. If you wanted a big duck chasing dog in your yard, you would buy your own and still not need hers there.

I like that sign idea. I'd make several.

You could also invest in some pepper. Not spray, but ground. Certainly keeps my dogs noses out of places I don't want them, IE around the Christmas tree. Pour that along the spot that they normally come in... dobie gets a snootful of that then he might decide to just keep walking. Then again, with her encouraging her dogs to trespass (via throwing things and telling them to fetch) they might not... but it'd be worth a shot to me.

I'd also talk to animal control. Mention that there IS this situation. Considering her reply she may feel the same about letter her dobie off the leash so he can 'play' with people's kitties and doggies too. I'd make sure that your neighbors are aware of this threat. That way if anyone's pets turn up hurt they know where to look first. Also ask if there's any way that a truck could cruise by, assuming your animals are all legal of course, during her 'typical' walk time. If the guy sees the behavior for himself he should say something, though wouldn't be awesome if she got a ticket for breaking a leash law (is there one there?)

Seriously... would you lock a cat in a birdcage with a canary? So far beyond dumb.

lol, I wish there were a predator that went after dogs. I'd let it CHASE after her dog like her dog chased your duck (in stress, not in a playful manner) "Oh, well my [insert predator] wouldn't hurt your dog! If I thought he/she did, I wouldn't have let him/her off leash!"

I'm Chinese, I could go chase her dog for you? With chopsticks... LOL (hahaha, no, I've never eaten dog, but we've all heard the stereotype!)
LOL, You can tell her that you're pretty sure your Chinese friend won't eat your dog, it was just playing with her dog. I guess that means I have to chase the dog and make it scared of me

But I think she'd get the gist then LOL

No. They are only allowed to retrieve their dogs and they may not bring their weapons. They also cannot drive through your property except on your driveway.

Okay, dumb question but how are you supposed to know the difference between a trained hunting dog that won't hurt your livestock and a non-trained regular old house pet dog? Do they wear orange beanies like their human counterparts?? I just don't understand how a law like that could even exist.

SINCE WHEN IS IT ILLEGAL FOR A MINOR TO PROTECT HIS/HER LIVESTOCK???!!!
A MINOR CAN SHOOT THE OFFENDING MUTTS JUST LIKE I CAN.
AGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!! Don't brandish, don't sit and try and intimidate, but if the offending mutts threaten, harrass, or kill your livestock, protect them by any reasonable means.
My kids were taught how to handle weapons at 5 years of age. Were they left UNSUPERVISED with weapons?.............HECK NO!! But if they HAD to.........they were all 3 excellent marksmen.
