You can still be in 4-H when you are in high school. I just went with FFA and Marching Band Freshman year so I didn't have much time if I were to join 4-H. Sophomore year I quit Marching band because the director got really mad when I went to a 1 hour FFA meetings at the beginning of his 4 hour band practices. Not sure why he kept thinking he could decide where I went and what I did and then chewing out my parents for letting me go to FFA meetings. My parents chewed him back out and then he tried failing me. That changed when my parents came in with the Principal. Also how he kept having meetings trying to change my mind by putting me on bass drums since I was Cymbals Freshmen year. Favorite thing he said to try and get me to change my mind, "You have gotten really good compared to what you started out at the beginning of the year. To be honest you kind of sucked." Exactly how is that to have me stay. I memorized the entire song before everybody and knew where I was suppose to be. I'm really into FFA, especially this year since I'm going to try and get my State Degree. I got my Greenhand Freshmen year, Chapter Sophomore year, hopefully this year I will get State and then eventually get my American Degree.
Helps when you hatch them out and let them out into the yard and lock them up in a kennel at night doing the same rutine everyday.
He is. He's more into beef though than poultry. I have my own small heard of one cow, one heifer that is 8 months, and I own part of the breeding Gelbvieh bull. All of my cattle they I raise are Gelbviehs. My dad raises Black Angus, Balancers (a cow or bull that is half and half between two breeds, Angus and Gelbvieh), and Gelbvieh. My dad likes the chickens but just because of the eggs of course. Peafowl mainly for the feathers so I can sell them. My dad likes White peafowl so that's why he gave into me getting whites so easily compared to the others.
