Your chicks are adorable!

There've been so many groups come through here over the last almost-six years, but I think this is one of the best looking of them all. This should be the last group for quite some time so I was pleased they turned out so well, thanks to the breeders who provided the eggs.

Kathy, I got pics of Maretta, the other EE pullet, for you. She always avoids the camera, so I rarely get her in the photos.

Hope, then Grace, Buff Orps from Jody Hinkle's flock. Hope is a giant girl, isn't she?

I didnt realize the buff orp was from Jody's lines. That explains why she is so nice. Yep, thats what my EEs are looking like, arent they nice?

I think both EE girls are very pretty, but I just love the Olive Egger, Shelby's looks so much. She is a bit friendlier than Maretta, but Maretta is calming down some now. She got close enough for me to get pics anyway!

Yep, both Jody and William sent me some Buff Orp eggs, but William's came from Jody's stock anyway, and all three of those that hatched from him were males. I don't think I've ever seen an Orp as large as Hope at less than 10 weeks old, even the males. Pics don't really show how truly humongous she is. I bet she'll be larger than even Nugget is and that's pretty darn big! I wouldn't get Buffs from anyone except Jody.

Omigosh, what do I do now? Look at these kids! They all want to be on the top roost bar, of course, but at almost 10 weeks old, they barely fit! Even the support bars you cannot see in the pics have chicks on them--the giant Buff Orp girl is standing on one, smushing one of my D'anver cockerels, Rufus, against the wall, LOL. I'm afraid I may have to separate out the 9 standards who will be leaving anyway into the old ladies' coop just so they will have roosting room. There's at least one more month (more, really) before the standard breeds can go into the main flock with the adults, but no way on earth they'll be able to roost on that top bar much longer. There is a lower bar and a short cross bar you can see in that first pic on the left, but does anyone want to sit on those? Of course not!

Poor Molly, my Silver Phoenix, wants to be on the end, but she's in constant danger of being pushed off.
