"BEN! Now! We are going!" My dad yelled again. I ran to the car and hopped in. We drove the short way across town and stopped at a 2 story house, with grey shutters and shingles. It was a peculiar house, with a lawn that was yellow from no care, the windows were quite smudgy and a garden full of weeds outside her back door. We walked up and ringed the doorbell, then were greeted instantly by my aunt Sheila. "Mandy! Rob! Ben, how nice to see you! Come in, come in at once! I have tea on the kettle and a few pieces of cake in the fridge." She said, being her bossy, but nice, self. "Sheila, we have to talk to you about something... but Ben, why don't you go outside and play for a bit?" My mom said slowly, as my aunt hurried around the kitchen. Happy to leave, I ran out the back door and looked around. Her yard was quite small, with no fence. The grass wasn't green, it was a dry, crusty yellow. A old well sat in the middle of it, moss growing on the outside like weeds grow in the garden. As for the garden... well, it was a weed hotel. The soil was dry and sandy. "Well, this isn't a suitable place for a dog. It needs a lot more room then this, it needs to be able to dig the dirt without breaking its nails from the hardness, and it needs to be fenced in." I thought to myself. I saw Aunt Sheila's bike leaned against the side of her house, looking quite ancient. Dare I use it? I caustiously mounted it, then pushed my feet off the ground and started pedaling. The bike looked old, but it worked well enough to ride, thankfully. I whizzed through town and within 10 minutes was back at my yard. I leaned the bike against a tree then darted to the shed. I peeked through the door and let out a sigh of relief. On the burlap bag, sat my dog. My dog, with the black coat and the single white spot around one eye. I reached my hand out to him and let him sniff it. "I thought you weren't going to come back. I thought... you left. Thank you." I whispered. He wagged his tail, and with great joy, I patted his head.
